Advanced Pest Control was one of the first companies in Houston to work with Dow AgroSciences during the EUP (Experimental Use Protocol) studies in 1994. We have been an authorized service center for Dow AgroSciences Sentricon* Termite Colony Elimination System since 1994.

Why?............Because it WORKS!

The Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System establishes a new standard for protecting property from subterranean termites. It's an innovative baiting system that acts like a security system, providing continuous defense. After eliminating attacking colonies, the Sentricon System guards structures by monitoring for future invasions. As a long-term solution that's easy on the environment, the Sentricon System is the only subterranean termite protection your house will ever need.

Benefits of Sentricon!

  • Recruit termite bait used in the Sentricon System is effective against all economically important subterranean (not dry wood) termite species in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

  • Eliminate Subterranean Termite Colonies without the use of hundreds of gallons of Chemicals.

  • Protect the entire structure, even if you have a cracked foundation.

  • Only requires the use of the active ingredient when it is needed.

And here's another first: The Sentricon System was the first product approved under the EPA's Reduced Risk Pesticide Initiative.

Sentricon protects our Nation's landmarks: Statue of Liberty, the White House, Independence Hall, The Alamo.

Liquid chemical treatments
Another method, one that uses older technology, is commonly known as a liquid chemical treatment. This method involves treating the soil around and under your home with hundreds of gallons of chemicals in an attempt to create a barrier between the termite colony and the home. To accomplish this, a trench is dug around the home and the chemical solution is injected into the soil. To try to create a barrier beneath the home, additional liquid chemical may be injected through floors, porches and patios. This option can be very disruptive to your home and landscaping.

It is difficult to distribute the chemical thoroughly, and termites can find their way through the tiniest of breaks. What's more, from the day it is applied, the chemical starts to deteriorate. The product guarantee usually means even more liquid chemical will be used when the barrier breaks down. Most of these treatments must be redone within five years.

These treatments are yesterday's technology and, at their best, provide only a short-term fix, not a permanent solution.
